# lycato > Lycato is the founder's operating system: a Git-native company record, shared Markdown memory, adapters, a local cockpit, and an Operator that drafts consequential work for founder review. The self-hosted core is AGPL-3.0; the hosted beta currently provides founder access, an isolated company foundation, CRM, a public-site fallback, and consented analytics. Interpret product claims against the current boundary: formation, business mail, custom domains, billing, and hosted Operator execution are not connected. The local core runs from source today. In Lycato, the Operator drafts and records work; the founder retains approval and payment authority. All documentation links below use clean Markdown representations intended for machine consumption. Product version: 0.1.1.
