Use Cases (v0.1.0)

Each use case lists the user, the trigger, the surface, the agent involved, and the artifact left in the repo.

UC-1 — Daily founder digest

• User: P1 Maya.
• Trigger: 9:00am, opens terminal.
• Surface: lycato morning (CLI) or cockpit Today page.
• Agents: daily-digest (if --auto-sync), Mercury + GitHub adapters.
• Artifacts: journal/daily/YYYY-MM-DD.md (agent), updated ledger entries.

UC-2 — Monthly investor update

• User: P1 Maya, P2 Theo, P4 Lin.
• Trigger: end-of-month or CRON.
• Surface: lycato operator investor-update --month N --year Y.
• Agents: investor-update; uses Mercury ledger + decisions + software/.
• Artifacts: investors/YYYY-MM.md with frontmatter financials.

UC-3 — Monthly close + Stripe reconciliation

• User: P1 Maya, P4 Lin.
• Trigger: first business day of month.
• Surface: lycato reconcile --month <prev> --year <yr> then lycato close.
• Agents: finance-close + reconcile (deterministic).
• Artifacts: money/reconcile-YYYY-MM.md (mismatches), updated money/ledger/.

UC-4 — Inbox triage

• User: P1, P2, P5.
• Trigger: ad-hoc through the day.
• Surface: lycato inbox, lycato inbox view <q>, lycato inbox triage <q> or cockpit Company → Inbox tab.
• Agents: heuristic-only (no LLM call); suggestTriage proposes disposition.
• Artifacts: founder moves item into target dir (decisions/, people/, money/, etc.) — no automated mutation.

UC-5 — Memory lookup

• User: any persona during agent prep.
• Trigger: "what do I know about this person/company?"
• Surface: lycato mem people/alice, lycato mem find acme, cockpit Memory page.
• Agents: none (file read).
• Artifacts: read-only on first hit; lycato mem write appends to the entity file.

UC-6 — Content draft cycle

• User: P1 Maya, P3 Aman.
• Trigger: weekly Saturday session or after a major ship.
• Surface: lycato operator content-queue or cockpit (planned).
• Agents: content-queue.
• Artifacts: 3-5 files under content/queue/YYYY-MM-DD-<channel>-<slug>.md in status: draft.

UC-7 — Review + approve a proposal branch

• User: P2 Theo (cofounder approval); P1 Maya (self-approval).
• Trigger: agent or human pushes proposal/*.
• Surface: lycato review, lycato review approve <branch>, cockpit Review page with Approve button.
• Agents: none; loadPolicy + scoreRisk compute risk.
• Artifacts: .founder/reviews/<branch>.yml marker; founder runs git merge --no-ff <branch> after.

UC-8 — First-time setup

• User: any new founder.
• Trigger: empty directory.
• Surface: npx @lycato/cli init [--demo], then lycato keys set, then lycato doctor.
• Agents: none.
• Artifacts: full kernel + optional demo seed + git repo initialised.

UC-9 — Import existing knowledge

• User: P3 Aman (Notion power user), P1 Maya migrating from Linear/Gmail.
• Trigger: post-init.
• Surface: lycato import notion <dir>, lycato import gmail-mbox <file>, lycato import linear <json>.
• Agents: none.
• Artifacts: memory/projects, memory/topics, decisions/, inbox/ populated.

UC-10 — Audit a branch before merge

• User: any persona.
• Trigger: after agent run, before merge.
• Surface: lycato audit --provenance.
• Agents: none.
• Artifacts: stdout list of missing markers; non-zero exit blocks CI.
